Sierra Nevada recalls 8 beers distributed to Texas

If you recently bought a six-pack or case of Sierra Nevada bottles, you may want to check the packaging. The brewery issued a voluntary recall this week after discovering a product flaw that could cause some glass to chip off its bottles and fall into the beer.

Mike Bennett, chief supply chain officer, said in a statement the flaw affects about 1 in every 10,000 bottles packaged between Dec. 5 and Jan. 13 at the facility in Mills River, North Carolina. Beers packaged in Chico, California are not affected by the recall.

To find out if you're eligible for a refund, check the shoulder of a bottle, the six-pack carrier or the case for the package date. Those listed with an "M" came from the Mills River plant. (See more detailed instructions on where to find this info here.)
