Fort Worth gets a new growler bar just in time for North Texas Beer Week

North Texas Beer Week (Nov. 11-20) has been sick, y'all, a week absolutely overrun with awesome events and sweet tappings of specialty brews. One such event is the opening of the third Lone Star Taps & Caps growler shop, this one in Fort Worth.

The Lone Star family of beer hotspots started 10 years ago with Lone Star Beverages in Carrollton, which has been lauded as one of the best beer stores in D-FW for its selection and customer service. The brand expanded from there into growler bars, starting with the first Taps & Caps in Lewisville in December 2014. The second opened in Denton in January 2016. Both areas were thirsty for growler stations and craft beer bars in general, and Fort Worth is no different.

According to owners Sam and Rick Ali, there are more locations to come, and the Lone Star brand will continue to strive to meet the craft beer needs of North Texas.

“I’m still as excited and passionate about sharing my love for craft beer as I was when we first opened the doors of Lone Star Beverages over 10 years ago," says Rick.

"Taps & Caps is the true evolution of not only LSB, but the way that the industry is moving. As it evolves, so do we, to continue to bring D-FW a truly one of a kind experience at our shops," he adds.

The Fort Worth location has a dog-friendly patio, twice the amount of seating compared to the Lewisville location, more than 300 bottles and cans (to be purchased to-go), and 50 taps of delicious craft brews, including cider and mead.
