Margot Kidder, Lois Lane in the 1978 'Superman' movie, has died

Actress Margot Kidder has died, according to People. She was 69.

Her cause of death is unknown. People reports that the Canadian-born Kidder died Sunday at her home in Montana.She has publicly battled with bipolar disorder and went missing in 1996, when she was convinced she was being followed by groups of people.

Kidder was most well-known as Lois Lane in the 1978 movie Superman, starring alongside Christopher Reeve. She returned to the world of Superman for a couple episodes of the TV show Smallville in 2004. She was also known for roles in The Amityville Horror and Black Christmas.
