Model and actress Christie Brinkley is a known equestrian and has competed in competitions in Fort Worth. But it likely still amused a few when she came to the launch of her original prosecco in Southlake on horseback.

Brinkley rode the horse around through the shopping strip parking lot to Tom Thumb, where fans flocked to have her sign bottles of the prosecco, Bellissima.

The former Sports Illustrated cover model noted on Instagram the horse came from Punk and Rita Carter. Brinkley rode their horse named Precious Playboy when she competed in the NCHA Futurity Championship.

Bellissima, which means "most beautiful" in Italian, comes in three flavors: brut, sparkling rosé and zero sugar. It's also billed as organic.

Brinkley reportedly likes to use the zero sugar as a mixer for cocktails.

Fans, including this reporter, waited more than an hour to meet Brinkley. But the pictures were worth it.

Bellissima is available at Tom Thumb and retails for $29.99 or $19.99 with a preferred shopper's card.
