In February, actor Cuba Gooding Jr. met Dallas police officer and 32-year-old Navy veteran Patrick Zamarripa. The actor had been in Dallas and stopped for a selfie with two officers who were more than excited to snap a pic with Gooding Jr.
When Gooding Jr. learned that Zamarripa was one of five individuals shot and killed during Thursday night's Dallas police shooting, he said he broke down.
"I cried today when I heard that," Gooding Jr. told TMZ. "I cried."
When the photo was taken, Zamarripa shouted Gooding Jr. out on Twitter, thanking him for taking the time to pose for a photo with them.
