It's not even summer yet, but the heat index is already topping the century mark most days in Dallas. That's not a deterrent to the most dedicated runners, walkers and cyclists, though. It helps to stay hydrated, especially when good neighbors chip in with a little hometown hospitality.
The Lakewood Advocate noted Wednesday that beloved R&B songstress and White Rock Lake denizen Erykah Badu happens to be one of those good neighbors, and she's setting a good example for the next generation, too.
Badu was spotted with her children handing out ice to lake-loopers Tuesday. Cyclist Kato Bently caught the good deed and shared it on Instagram.
