The weather's still warm, but who knows for how long. Take advantage of the recent sun-filled days by lounging at the Grove at Harwood, an outdoor oasis located in downtown Dallas that offers fun by the game and by the glass.

The Grove at Harwood

Sand volleyball courts, a bocce ball pit and cornhole all surround this sunlit sanctuary, providing an escape from the busy Dallas scene. The Grove's bar doubles as a snow cone stand where the signature "Snowmosa" serves as the eatery's main attraction.

Too old for a snow cone? Guess again. The Grove may have you feeling like a kid again, but it's drinks are far from G-rated. The Snowmosa, orange-flavored ice topped with champagne, is just one of many spiked snow cones the bar is serving up. The Drunken Smurf (blue raspberry flavor topped with berry vodka) and Mango Madness (mango flavor with mango vodka) top the menu charts as additional crowd pleasers. They each cost $10.

The Grove's weekly happy hour specials include $3 drafts, $4 domestic cans and $5 Bonn Oir Vodka available Monday and Tuesday from 4 to 10 p.m., and Wednesday through Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday's are extra sweet with a Snomosa special of $4.

These drinks aren't all that the Grove has to offer. In addition to the many beer, wine and cocktail options the menu also includes a number of tasty snacks and specialty paninis to match. So, round up your crew, pull up a chair and spend your weekend picnicking and playing while the sun's still shinning.
