You'll be able to read J.K. Rowling's 'Magic in North America' online this week

The U.S. is too cool for Hogwarts. At least, that's what we Americans have all told ourselves as we've cried ourselves to sleep because we didn't get any letters from owls inviting us to the school for Witchcraft and Wizardry.

As it turns out, we almost certainly wouldn't have attended the European school, anyway. The name of the wizarding school for North Americans is called Ilvermorny, and we're about to learn a lot more about it. J.K. Rowlings' official Harry Potter website Pottermore has announced that the author is about to start releasing a four-part series called History of Magic in North America. The first part will debut tomorrow at 2 p.m. GMT (which is 8 a.m. central time, for those of us in Texas). A new part of the series will debut at the same time each day from then until Friday, March 11.

Among the things we'll supposedly be learning about, according to a trailer for the written series? The Magical Congress of the United States of America.

The timing isn't random. America's wizarding community will be a big part of the upcoming film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which stars Eddie Redmayne as magizoologist Newt Scamander. That movie will hit theaters on Nov. 18, and it will serve as a sort of prequel to the blockbuster Harry Potter series.

If these four stories aren't enough for you, remember that the script for the Harry Potter sequel play, The Cursed Child, is being released as a book in July.
