Updated April 1 with information regarding events.

If you had a chance to live like Queen Cersei — as in to savor your favorite drink while on the Iron Throne — would you jump at the opportunity? If so, you’re in luck.

Catch up! The 10 episodes of 'Game of Thrones' you must watch before season 8

The Ill Minster Pub in Dallas has taken fandom to the next level by decking out their decor in all things Game of Thrones and offering a broad menu of special cocktails, just in time for patrons to prepare for the final season premiere April 14 on HBO.

Would-be Westerosi who find the Uptown pub, nestled in The Commons at Cedar Springs, may pass through an entryway walled with faux greenery and all-but be in a King’s Landing tavern.

The entire space has become a shrine to Thrones in incredible detail. House banners and artsy portraits line the walls. The Night King rules over the bar, and another, larger White Walker glares out before a looming wall of skulls. Dragons are everywhere — on lights, over doorways and TVs, around a gum-popping queen of England. Photos, busts, sigils, dragon eggs — the list goes on. Oh, and there’s that Iron Throne.

According to Patrick Gorman, a co-owner of the Ill Minster, their Iron Throne — not to be confused with the one at AT&T's headquarters — has been a feature of the pub for some time. He says an investor in the bar got the throne from an artist out of Los Angeles because it felt appropriate to the location. “This does feel like a little dungeon, Game of Thrones-type of bar,” he says. The idea to redecorate for the final season grew from there.

He adds that the Thrones-themed menu of eight cocktails has proven immensely popular. The three favorites so far are the vodka-based King of the North, Creepy Littlefinger, and (of course) the Iron Throne, the latter of which is similar to a Moscow mule and served in a copper cup. There are also three specialty shots named for Tyrion Lannister, Sansa Stark and Jon Snow. Gorman says new drinks designed for groups of four to six could be forthcoming as well.

Cocktails aren't the only Thrones-related things visitors may enjoy, either. Chris Beardon, another co-owner, says the love of Thrones shared by the pub team inspired them to go all-out for fans. “We will be holding numerous events including GoT trivia, costume contests and prizes during this final season,” he said via email.

According to Gorman, a Game of Thrones trivia event will be held April 14 at 6 p.m. — just before the premiere. Other events will likely be shared on the pub's Facebook page

And as for how long the decorations will be there? “We will more than likely keep the GoT decor up after the season finale,” Beardon says. “We may even add to it as time goes along and get more creative with other fans’ input.”

Gorman agrees. “A lot of the banners kind of look like they already belong.”
