Patio sitting isn't all that popular in Dallas' colder temperatures. That's why The Grove at Harwood, a bar that opened near Uptown in May, is now closed for the winter.
GuideLive's Tiney Ricciardi reported back in May that The Grove's specialty is outdoor bar games. Its two sand volleyball courts, bocce ball pit and badminton are best enjoyed in spring and summer, perhaps.
The Grove is located in the Harwood District, a tiny, growing area located south Uptown and north of the American Airlines Center. Other restaurants and bars in the Harwood District include Saint Ann, Mercat Bistro and new mega-venue Happiest Hour.
The Grove, located at 3019 McKinnon St. in Dallas, is expected to reopen in March, says a spokeswoman.
