In celebration of Riscky's Barbeque's 90th birthday, the restaurant is selling 90-cent chopped beef sandwiches Oct. 23-26, 2017.
And what's a birthday without a party? The barbecue joint will also throw its own shindig, on Oct. 26 from 5-7 p.m. Attendees will find beer from Rahr Brewing Co., live music from 95.9 The Ranch and free barbecue samples. The party Oct. 26 is free and open to the public.
Riscky's co-owner Eddie Sullivan reminds in a press release that the restaurant has been business for almost a century. "We've worked hard to keep the family-owned restaurant running for 90 years, and we hope Riscky's will continue to be considered a Cowtown tradition for years to come," he says.
The barbecue joint originated on Azle Avenue in Fort Worth (and that shop is now Riscky's Deli). Today, Riscky's has three barbecue joints, all in Fort Worth.
90-cent chopped beef sandwiches available at all three Riscky's Barbeque locations through Oct. 26. Party Oct. 26 from 5-7 p.m. will take place in and around the restaurant, at 140 E. Exchange Ave., Fort Worth, in the Stockyards.
