Update: Apparently this deal was too good to pass up for some people, because we're being told that it's now sold out.

Original story: So you're headed to the Academy of Country Music Awards at AT&T Stadium in Arlington on Sunday, but you just know traffic is going to be bad. You're not the type of socialite to be fashionably late, but you still want to arrive in style. After all, how else are you going to get Garth Brooks' attention?

I should mention that in this fantasy scenario, you have a lot of spare cash burning a hole in your pocket.

In this case, it sounds like UberChopper might be for you (also, I would like to submit an application to be your best friend). For one day only to coincide with the ACM Awards on Uber is partnering with Epic Helicopters to offer sky-high transportation to your destination. You can request a helicopter from Uber via the app, with rides starting at 2 p.m. on April 19. You'll get a scenic helicopter tour of Dallas before being dropped off at AT&T Stadium for the show (which you need your own tickets for, by the way).

Of course, it'll cost you $400. Per person. But included with the fare are Uber car rides to and from the helipad (up to $80), so that's something right?

You can get more details at Uber's blog or by simply going to the app and scheduling a ride right now. Don't forget to send me an invite, though.
